Volvo Trucks is issuing a recall on some 2020-2025 trucks due to errors with the vehicles’ electronic control units.
The recall, which was reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Oct. 23 and posted on Monday, states that 126,649 trucks may be affected.
The recall pertains to certain 2020-2025 VN, VAH, VHD and VNRE trucks, equipped with Bendix EC-80 Advanced Electronic Control Units. Electrical noises and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the unit to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

Each vehicle has a VIN, or vehicle identification number. The 17-character number is typically located on the left of a vehicle’s windshield, on the driver’s side door or inside the vehicle where the driver’s side door closes.
If your truck is on the recall list, schedule an appointment with a nearby Volvo dealership. The dealer will reprogram the unit software for free.
